Hair Breakage vs. Shedding

It is normal to lose any where from 25 to 100 strands, in fact that number can go up to 200 depending on what it being done to it. So before you lose it and scream "I am Going Bald," shedding is a normal occurrence. Hair sheds at the end of its growth cycle. You will notice a white bulb at the root of the strand....see now breathe, its not so bad. Now on the other hand, breakage is the end result of damaged hair. So, if you don't see a bulb then it just might me breakage, especially it you see various lengths then there just might be damage (due to color, split ends, dry, etc.). However, don't beat yourself up about it, it just means it's time to nourish and care for you hair; we've all been there at one time or another.

Product Review: Herbal Essence Totally Twisted Conditioner

When I first started my hair journey I read reviews on Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner, so while shopping at my local drugstore I came across Herbal Essence Totally Twisted Conditioner. At a price of $3.99, it was worth every penny. I love conditioners being that I am an avid "co-washer" and this conditioner had a great smell and excellent slip, making for easily detangling.

Product Review: SheaMoisture Shea Butter Leave In

I recently purchased SheaMoisture Shea Butter Leave-In from my local Beauty Supply Store after I watched a review on questfortheperfectcurl.com. I first tried it as a leave in for a wash n go, which the results were okay, but they weren't what I was looking for I  may have possibly used  too much, because it appeared to weigh my hair down. So, I decided to use it the next time as a styling agent when I did a twistout on wet hair .....and I loved it. I loved it so much I went and bought 2 more bottles, so I can have it on hand. The cost is $5.99. This will definitely be one of my staple products.

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Deionized Water, Herbal Complex, Panthenol, Centromonium Chloride, Glycerin, Cocoa Butter, Aloe Vera, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E.
